The minister of education Bandula Gunawardana says that if the Central College system does not crated, he would be a cow boy today.
He said this at the occasion of laying down the foundation stone of the technical laboratory at Matara Central College.
“For the free education, there is no difference between boys and girls. Mixed schools were formed. Children of labourer, technician got education and climbed the ladder.”
“Mr. Eeriyagolla categorized the schools. To ensure free education uniforms, foods, books were given free. The school gates are closed for those who are down with maths in O/L”
” I would be a cow boy, if these 54 central colleges are not there.”
